Hiking data

The starting point of the hike is the square in front of the church in Bellissimi.

Walk up the narrow road (arrow in fig. 1) and follow the road (arrows in fig. 2, fig. 3, fig. 4) until you reach the provincial road to Santa Brigida after approx. 10 - 12 minutes. Cross the road (Fig. 5) and follow the path uphill (arrows in Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8). After another 20 - 25 minutes you will reach the church of Santa Brigida (figs. 9, 10, 9). Pass the church (fig. 10) and after a few metres turn left onto a mule track (fig. 11). Follow the path, which climbs steadily, keep left at a fork (fig. 12) and continue climbing until you reach an open space, which you cross (fig. 13). Follow the path uphill, pass the ruins of the chapel of San Bernardo (fig. 14), and soon come to the road that leads to the summit of Monte Faudo (fig. 15). It will take you about 50 to 60 minutes to get here from the church of Santa Brigida.

Cross the road (arrow in Fig. 15) and follow the partly very steep path further uphill. After approx. 32 - 40 minutes you will reach the road again (Fig. 16). At the fork in the road, keep left (Fig. 16) and follow the road steeply uphill. After approx. 10 - 12 minutes you will reach the partisans' house, in front of which you turn right onto a path (Fig. 17). Follow the partly very steep and stony path uphill. After approx. 50 - 60 minutes you will reach the road to the summit of Monte Faudo again (Fig. 18). Turn left and follow the road steeply uphill. After approx. 35 - 42 minutes you will reach the summit of Monte Faudo, which is characterised by several large antenna systems. To descend, follow the road downhill and go straight on at the junction (Fig. 19). After approx. 30 - 38 minutes you will reach the Passo di Vena (Fig. 20). Turn left and then immediately right (fig. 20) and follow the stony path that leads first through woodland and later through open terrain (fig. 21, fig. 22, fig. 23). You will reach a signpost (fig. 24). Shortly before and slightly below the signpost you will find a marker. Turn right (fig. 25) and follow the path, which is marked red and white and leads downhill (fig. 26).

The path soon becomes very stony and in places leads very steeply downhill. You will reach the small church of Santa Marta above Tavole (Fig. 27). From Passo di Vena to here you need approx. 50 - 65 minutes.  Pass the small church (Fig. 27) and follow the signpost straight ahead (Fig. 28) towards Lecchiore / Dolcedo. The path mostly leads slightly downhill on the ridge and is repeatedly marked by red and white markings and signposts (Fig. 29 to 39) and leads into an unpaved road (Fig. 38). After approx. 45 - 55 minutes you reach the Passo della Valle (Fig. 38). Keep to the right (fig. 38).

Follow the road downhill, turn right after a short distance (Fig. 40) and continue downhill, sometimes steeply (Fig. 41, 42, 43). You will finally reach the church of Acquasanta (figs. 44, 45). Go past the church on the left and follow the path that leads in steps to the road to Lecchiore (figs. 46, 47). Follow the road and turn left in the village (fig. 48). The road initially descends slightly and leads to the church of Lecchiore. At the side of the church, turn sharply right and steeply uphill (fig. 49). Follow the above-mentioned markings (fig. 50, 51 , 52, 53, 54, 55) uphill through these narrow alleyways. Leave Lecchiore and follow the markings through olive groves to Bellissimi (figs. 56, 57, 58, 59, 60). The path ends on the forecourt of the church (Fig. 61).
