Hiking data
The starting point of the hike is the church square in Pantasina.
Walk into Via Santuario (arrow in Fig. 1) for about 150 metres past the Azienda Agricola Pino. After a few metres, turn right into a small side street (arrow in Fig. 2). After about 30 metres, the small road turns into a mule track. Follow the path, which climbs steeply in places, keep right at a junction (Fig. 4) and continue climbing until you reach the provincial road again (Fig. 5). Cross the provincial road. After a few metres uphill, the mule track branches off to the left. Follow the path uphill to the ridge. Keep right at the fork (Fig. 6). It will take you about 15 to 25 minutes to reach this point. Now follow the path uphill. After another 10 to 20 minutes through the forest, you will reach an open, stony slope from where you have a beautiful view of Pantasina. Cross the open area and follow the path through the forest further uphill. After another 10 - 15 minutes you will come to a fork. Take the path straight ahead (Fig. 7). You will reach a saddle from where you have a marvellous view of Tavole and Villatalla in Val Prino. Monte Faudo rises up in the background.

After approx. 5 - 10 minutes, you will come to a gravel road on which you turn left and uphill (fig. 9, 10). After a few hundred metres you will see the chapel (San Bernardo) on the right (fig. 11). Now follow the gravel road to the left (fig. 12, 13). After approx. 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours you will reach Villatalla. Shortly before Villatalla, you will pass the small church of Santa Marta (Fig. 14). At a fork in the path, keep right (fig. 15), cross the bridge and keep left (fig. 16) . At the crossroads (fig. 17), go straight on. After a short distance you reach the village (fig. 18), into which you descend through a narrow alley (fig. 19). At the bottom you are in the central square of Villatalla (fig. 20).

Go straight across the village square and follow the arrows in Figs. 21, 22. Turn right and follow the narrow road downhill (Figs. 23, 24, 25), which turns into an old mule track and leads in steep hairpin bends into the valley. You come to a path (Fig. 26), which you follow downhill. After a short distance, you will reach an old bridge (Fig. 27). Cross the bridge and after a few metres you will reach a fork in the path (Fig. 28). Go straight on and follow the path that leads to Canneto soprano after a few hundred metres (figs. 29, 30, 31, 32), cross the village and continue straight on (fig. 33).

After a few hundred metres you come to the provincial road that leads uphill to Pantasina (fig. 34). Turn left along the road and after a few metres turn sharp left onto an old mule track (fig. 35), which leads uphill to Pantasina. Follow the path, after a few hundred metres the path meets a path (fig. 36), turn right (fig. 37) and continue uphill along this path, which is partly concreted. You will reach the church of San Cosmo e Damiano (figs. 38, 39), bypass this church and continue along the small road until you reach a group of houses (fig. 40). From there you have a beautiful view of Pantasina (fig. 41). Keep left there and stay right at the next fork in the road (Fig. 42). After a few metres you will come to a small square with the church of San Giuseppe (Fig. 43). Continue straight ahead to the end of the road, turn left there and after a few metres turn right (fig. 44, 45). Follow the provincial road downhill. After about 300 metres you will reach the church square of Pantasina .
