Dates of the hike
The starting point for the walk is Piazza Doria in front of the town hall.
Walk under the town hall through the door onto the church forecourt (Figs. 1, 2), climb the stairs and turn immediately left (Figs. 3, 4) and continue straight ahead (approx. 120 m) until the path turns sharply to the right behind the archway (Figs. 5, 6). Follow the road, which is steep in places (Figs. 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15). Between the houses, you will have beautiful views of Ripalta on your right (Figs. 11, 14).
You will arrive at Castellazzo. Climb the steep road through Castellazzo, past the church, and you will come to the provincial road leading from Dolcedo to Bellissimi and on to Santa Brigida (Figs. 16, 17). To your right, you will have a view of Bellissimi (Fig. 17). Follow the road uphill for a few metres and turn sharply to the left (Fig. 19). Climb a few metres uphill, then turn sharply right and continue uphill (Fig. 20). Follow the path (Via Santa Brigida) uphill (Figs. 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27). To your right, you will see Trincheri (Fig. 25). Continuing uphill, you will come to a paved road (Fig. 28).
Continue uphill along the road, passing a few houses until you reach the provincial road that leads from Civezza to Santa Brigida (Figs. 29, 30, 31).
On the side of the road opposite the chapel, a path leads downhill to Bellissimi (Fig. 32).
Follow this stony path further downhill, passing a wayside shrine (on the left) and an open space (on the right). After a few metres, there is a gap in the hedge on the left (Fig. 33). Be careful not to turn off there, but follow the narrow path that turns left after a few metres (Fig. 34). After a short distance, you will come to the provincial road that leads from Santa Brigida to Bellissimi. Cross the road (Fig. 35) and follow the paved path downhill to Bellissimi.
Pass the church of Bellissimi and follow the path (Fig. 36), which is signposted (Fig. 37), to Lecchiore (Figs. 38, 39). In Lecchiore, follow the signs (Fig. 37), some of which lead you up steps to the church square (Figs. 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45).
Pass the church. On the left-hand side, a path branches off sharply to the left and then turns right after a few metres (Figs. 46, 47). Follow this path, which leads to Dolcedo past the ruins of a chapel (Figs. 48, 49, 50, 51,52, 53, 54, 55, 56) .
The path leads downhill past an old bridge (Fig. 57) to the church forecourt (Figs. 58, 59, 60). Through the large wooden gate (Fig. 61), you will return to your starting point, Piazza Doria.
